Añaza Mountaneer Union (UMA) is a mountain activities club.
It’s composed of more than a hundred people who practise treking, climbing,
potholing, going down ravines, and mountain ciclying. It was created as
a fusion of three groups (Group Memorial).
The group flow chart is the following:

Management Department: It’s chosen by members for a period of four years.
To these elections are run as President, who will choose the members for
the management.

President: Is the maximum club’s representative, responsible of coordination
between the management and department.

Vicepresident: He does the same as president, and takes the power when the
president is not.

Secretary: Is the responsible of all news that it happens in the group: meetings,
budgets, correspondence, and register of members, but this last option can
be done by anybody of management Department.

Treasurer: He is responsible to control the money in the club and subsidizes
of publics organism, and try to do a good use and administration of all goods
of club.

Departments: Is a division of activities that the club does, and so this
can be coordinated by a person. Staff are responsible to offer activities
to members of the club through prepare of an anual calendar. He offers one
activity a month at least, but this doesn’t mean the rest of the month
there aren’t more activities, because this time is reservated to members
to prepare their activities, because we want our members are mountaneers,
climbings, potholiers, sharing their own experiences and their mountain-
mates and friends. This means philosophy of UMA., a club which we are all
friends, and where we are learning continuatly of all of us.

Members. They are people of all ages who want to do formative courses and
different activities. Each member can do(practise) any activity, if you prove
your experience for it, and you can also use goods of club, always under
the rules of use. We are always accept opinions of our members, because they
organize their activities, expeditions, etc, which we will give them all
our support so much consulting as much material.
Although we don’t have much money, we procure to invest the best way:
material, promotion of mountain, (courses, subsidize to staffs, etc), library.
We procure to spend the money we have a year, because we don’t want
to save it.
The money we have is from shares of our members and subsidizes of publics
organism. Shares of our members it pays only once, and they are for a year.
In this way, members must renew every year their ownership to club. You have
to pay 2.500 ptas, and if you are under 18, you don’t have to pay.
In 1999, for example, we invested money reparing the refuge, doing bigger
the climbing center and subsidise the transport, material, courses and teachers.
